3-Alarmer Tears Through New Jersey Buildings

BAYONNE, N.J.-- Three buildings were ablaze in a third-alarm fire in Bayonne this morning.

Heavy fire could be seen tearing through the three-story building at the intersection of Broadway and 17th Street just after 3:30 a.m.

Eyewitness News is told an internal collapse was reported in that building, forcing firefighters to evacuate.

The blaze spread to two other adjacent buildings, containing businesses and apartments.

Officials say one firefighter was taken to Bayonne Medical Center with minor injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
