GREENVILLE, S.C. --

A vacant building formerly used as an early childhood education center in Greenville burned Thursday night.

The fire has been termed suspicious, investigators said.

The fire began about 9 p.m. at the former Jesse Jackson Head Start Center on Ramsey Court.

Firefighters from five different stations worked to put out the blaze.

There were no injuries and because the building is isolated, no homes in the surrounding area were affected.

The building is scheduled for demolition, fire officials said.
