Brush Fire Destroys Homes in Georgia

A firefighter and a resident were treated for minor injuries.

A brush fire has destroyed four homes and damaged six others in a retirement community in Loganville.

Officials says the fire started Sunday afternoon in a ten-acre kudzu patch and spread to homes in the area. Officials say the fire created winds of up to 30 miles per hour.

It took about 40 firefighters to bring the blaze under control. One firefighter and a resident were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
