San Diego Firefighters Want $1.3M

The department will use the money for renevations.

The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department is asking the city's redevelopment arm for $1.3 million to renovate.

The Centre City Development Corporation was slated to consider the request on Wednesday afternoon. If approved the fire department wants to upgrade Fire Station No. 1 and make it more livable.

Fire Station No. 1 is among the Top 5 busiest of the 46 stations in the city.
