Two men escaped serious injury after their car rolled and caught fire early Wednesday on the city's North Side.
Police said the driver was drunk and speeding when his vehicle hit a guardrail and rolled into a ditch just after midnight on the access road of Highway 281 North at Loop 1604.
The two men were trapped inside the vehicle when the car caught fire, police said.
A good Samaritan stopped to help the men get out of the vehicle, police said. Both men were treated at the scene.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, police said.
