NJ LODD Widow Graduates from Firefighter Class

WEST DEPTFORD TWP. -- Patti Heenan used to think that her husband was a volunteer with the Verga Fire Co. because it was like a boys' club.

Now, as she graduates from Firefighter I class herself, she finally understands what kept her husband involved with the fire department for 17 years before he died.

Jim Heenan, seriously burned in a house fire in January 2001, died in March that year.
