Local first-responders and National Guardsman are training on what to do when a meth lab is found in the mid-state.

On Friday, the Guardsman joined law enforcement officers and emergency management personnel in Williamson County for an exercise. They pretended to find a body and a meth lab in a remote area. Dressed in radiation suits, they went in. The civilian emergency workers say training with the Guardsmen is very helpful.

Williamson County EMA Mike Thompson said, "They have a lot of expertise that we don't have....just a good asset to have around."

After the drill, those involved critiqued themselves about what went right and what needed to be impoved on.
