Robert Hanner Memorial Service Plans Announced

The memorial for three Coos Bay firefighters who died in the line of duty will be held on Sunday, December 1st.

A procession of firefighters and fire apparatus will begin at Noon, followed by the memorial service for the three heroes at 2 p.m. The service will be held at Marshfield Stadium, which is located at 10th and Ingersoll, in Coos Bay.

Apparatus staging will start at 9 a.m. at the Werehaueuser parking lot at 3201 Tremont (Highway 101).

Coos Bay officials request that any departments sending apparatus to be part of the procession please contact the Oregon Fire Chiefs Assocaition at [email protected].

Lt. Randall E Carpenter(Career)
Age: 46
Lt. Carpenter had been a firefighter for over 20 years, over 13 of which were served with the Coos Bay Fire Department (CBFD). He leaves behind two adult daughters.

Age: 30
Firefighter Common had eight years
