The three-alarm blaze destroyed apartments and killed two dogs.
A Brooklyn cop rescued his neighbor and her dog from a three-alarm blaze last night that destroyed his apartment and killed his two dogs. Nobody was hurt when fire erupted at 11 p.m. in the second-floor apartment on North Henry Street in Greenpoint, next door to where Detective Louis Arroyo lived with his wife, daughter and mother-in-law.

Arroyo got his family out and then evacuated the neighbor, a woman in her 40s who lived in the building next door.

"I don't know how to tell my daughter about the dogs," said Arroyo. "We're lucky to be alive."
