Jan. 27, 2012

Jan. 27--A fire at Brosville Community Volunteer Fire Department has damaged its building and two vehicles.

A 2008 International crash truck and a 2005 ambulance were damaged in the blaze that was reported at about 7:45 p.m. Thursday.

Jim Davis, Pittsylvania County emergency services coordinator, said an outside agency would examine the case since the department's building is county insured.

Brosville Fire Chief Chris Key said the state fire marshal would investigate the incident.

No one was injured.
