Blast Leaves R.I. Man Severely Burned

A Rhode Island man was severely burned in an explosion in his apartment.

A baby also was injured. However, an adult woman was not, according to The Providence Journal.

Robert Garrey told reporters he was heading to a doctor's appointment with his girlfriend when they heard a boom. He went inside the burning building and helped three people to get out. He said other men went in to the home with him to help.

He added that a man was severely burned, and his skin was peeling off. The others weren't hurt that bad.
