DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Jan. 12, 2011) – NASCAR has renewed its sponsorship agreement with AMKUS, the tool-making company that serves as the “rescue system supplier” for all of NASCAR’s racing series. The new agreement now runs through 2015.
For more than three decades, AMKUS has provided the power operated rescue tools and equipment that NASCAR relies on at its racing venues for emergency extrication purposes. The quality, efficiency and reliability of the tools have served NASCAR, its competitors and race tracks well.
“AMKUS has done a great job with the tools and systems they provide our sport week in and week out,” said Robin Pemberton, NASCAR vice president of competition. “Being able to rely on their outstanding services when the situation calls for them, has helped enhance many of our safety initiatives at the race track.”
AMKUS, Inc., located in Downers Grove, Ill., has been providing state-of-the-art hydraulic extrication equipment and rescue systems to fire departments and rescue squads around the world for more than 30 years. AMKUS Rescue Systems are in use by fire departments and rescue squads in more than 75 countries and at major racing facilities worldwide.
