FDM Software will be demonstrating its new mobile CAD, T-911 and Multi-Agency Situational Awareness solutions at APCO 2014, as well as sharing its public safety expertise in a Tech Café session.
President Ed Colin will be presenting CAD Data is Crucial to Situational Awareness Wednesday, November 5, 11:30 to 11:50, in the Vancouver Island Room. Colin brings years of service as a Fire Chief and 25 years of experience with public safety software to his presentation about the game-changing functionality of FDM’s new CAD-MASAS interface.
The FDM software interface connects to an existing national web-based situational awareness system, MASAS, feeding real-time CAD information to the system for immediate availability to all stakeholders in a large scale emergency. FDM has shown its understanding of the value of MASAS by integrating it into FDM’s CAD product suite.
Further, FDM CAD’s flexible architecture enables FDM to quickly integrate NG9-1-1 functionality, making FDM one of the first vendors to provide Text-to-911 support.
“It’s wonderful to have APCO in Vancouver this year, right in FDM’s backyard,” says Colin. “FDM serves over 75 percent of fire departments in B.C. with our Computer Aided Dispatch and Records Management System solutions. A local conference like this gives us a chance to show off our CAD innovations to folks who really understand the benefits, and who can make use of new functionality quickly.”
