A Kentucky town is looking for a fire chief and an assistant chief.
Stamping Ground Fire Chief Billy McIntosh and Asst. Chief Jacob Pasley resigned, Mayor Kayla Jones announced on the town's website.
"It is widely known that they both have dedicated many years in volunteer service to the Stamping Ground Volunteer Fire Department. Chief McIntosh has served with the utmost professionalism and as far as I am concerned his leadership, devotion, and integrity has been a great asset to the Fire Department and the City as a whole. I do believe that between the two of them, they have devoted fourteen years of service to the City of Stamping Ground," she wrote.
Among the allegations of firefighters were that the chief used an engine to fill a swimming pool and failed to conduct background checks, according to LEX18.
Josh Cook has been appointed interim chief.
Jones added that Scott County Chief Mike Fuller has assured her the town will have protection.
She added that the city will be reviewing the fire department's SOPs, and encouraged people to participate.
