The Terral fire chief is facing up to five years in prison and a $500 fine for hiding a camera in the women's restroom at city hall.
Cash Alsup, who also is the town's water superintendent, had control over the building, according to KSWO.
The camera was found in an air conditioning vent above the toilet.
He was able to access the camera system using his phone.
Under Sheriff Jimmy Williams that when the camera was discovered, the fire chief told him:‘I’ve done something stupid and I’ll work with you whatever I need to do.'"
Williams added: “So I advised him to work with the deputy who was doing the investigation and move forward from there.”
Alsup was charged and later released on a $5,000 bond
