FDNY Firefighter Found Dead in Bunkroom

A FDNY firefighter was found dead in a Bronx station bunkroom Friday.Gary M. Valentino, 41, had been a firefighter with the FDNY for 13 years, according to the USFA.Valentino, who was assigned to Engine 43 in the Bronx but working as a chief’s aide in the 7th Division, was found at the quarters of Engine 72 in the Bronx, according to an FDNY statement.The cause of death has not been determined.Funeral arrangements for Valentino have not been made.More information will be posted when it becomes available.

A FDNY firefighter was found dead in a Bronx station bunkroom Friday.

Gary M. Valentino, 41, had been a firefighter with the FDNY for 13 years, according to the USFA.
