Probationary FDNY firefighter Vincent Malveaux succumbed to a medical episode while training Thursday at the Randall's Island fire academy.

An FDNY probationary firefighter died Friday after he suffered a medical emergency while conducting training evolutions.

Vincent Malveaux, 31, was transported to Harlem hospital after he fell ill at the Randall's Island fire academy Thursday morning.

Malveaux passed away at the hospital Friday morning, according to a Facebook post by the New York City Fire Department.

“This is a heartbreaking loss of a young man who chose a life of brave service to others, first providing outstanding emergency medical care as an EMT in the Bronx and then training to be a New York City Firefighter," Commissioner Daniel Nigro shared in a statement. "Our entire Department mourns the passing of this heroic individual who dedicated himself to saving lives. Our thoughts are with his family, our EMTs who worked closely beside him, and his fellow Probies.”

Malveaux death is the 1,154th FDNY member to die from injuries in the line-of-duty.
