Blackshear, GA, Assistant Chief Killed when Tree Falls on Truck Cab

Blackshear Fire Chief Bucky Goble called the death of Assistant Chief Leon Davis "just devastating."

A Blackshear firefighter was killed Friday morning when a tree fell onto the cab of a city truck.

Firefighter Leon Davis was clearing up from a call of downed trees and power lines when the incident occurred, according to The Blackshear Times. 

Blackshear Fire Chief Bucky Goble said Davis was "a great guy" and his death is "just devastating."
