A Pinedale firefighter who was working a brush fire in Union County Saturday died after falling from a piece of fire apparatus.
WTVA.com reports that Terry Dykes, 58, died Monday at a hospital in Tupelo, according to Lee County Coroner Carolyn Green.
In a Facebook statement Sunday, the East Union Fire Department shared, "Prayers needed Big Time right now for one of our fellow Fireman, his family, and all the medical teams. He serves as a member of Pindale Fire Dept. He was seriously injured during a wildland fire on Saturday."
No other details were available due to the ongoing investigation, the fire chief said.
