Indiana firefighters are mourning the loss of one of their own.
Milton-Washington Township Firefighter Scott Adams, 46, died Friday. No details have been released about the incident.
"Firefighter Adams made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our community on April 25, 2025, answering the call with the bravery, dedication, and selflessness that defined his career and his life," fire officials posted on the department's Facebook page.
"Scott was more than a firefighter—he was a brother, a friend, and a true public servant. His legacy of courage and compassion will forever remain a part of our department’s fabric..."
The Boston, IN Fire Department wrote: "Scott began his path in public service with us 18 years ago. His willingness to learn and grow as a Firefighter/EMT, his commitment to working hard for his family, and his never give up attitude are truly inspiring!"
