Columbia County, GA, Firefighter Recruit Died During Training

On the first day of training earlier this month, Columbia County Fire Recruit Kalif L. Daly, 31, collapsed and died.

A fire recruit at Columbia County Fire Rescue Academy died earlier this month.

On the first day of training on Nov. 4, Firefighter Recruit Kalif Leslie Daly, 31, fell ill, the U.S. Fire Administration announced Monday. 

He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The cause of death is pending.
