The Fifth U.S. Needs Assessment report, released by the NFPA, indicated that fire departments are facing infrastructure challenges across the country and most lack health and wellness programs for their members. All types of departments reported staffing woes, too. 

Two FEMA grant application periods are currently open.

The FY21 Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response application period  opened yesterday and the application period for the FY21 Assistance to Firefighter Grants program was been extended to Jan. 21.
