The application period to nominate your members for acts of bravery and heroism for the 2022 Firehouse Valor and Community Service Awards is open through March 1, 2023. We are looking for fire/rescue incidents that occurred in 2022, and to recognize ongoing community outreach efforts.

Firehouse is also seeking submissions from fire chiefs and PIOs for the annual Run Surveys. The deadline for the National Run Survey (for career departments) has been extended to March 1.

APPARATUS NEWS
The Reading Fire Department is asking for funding from the city's pool of American Rescue Plan Act monies to replace three vehicles.
The Edwardsville Fire Department's newest vehicle is a new Ford F-550 medium-duty cab and chassis with an ambulance box attached.
Nonworking hydrants presented an obstacle for firefighters who battled a house fire, but Huron Township officials don't believe the issue had a major impact on the residence.
