Firefighters from four departments responded to the fire at the Flying J truck stop in Indianapolis.

A three-alarm fire summoned crews from several departments to an Indianapolis truck stop on March 20.

Indianapolis firefighters responded to the Flying J truck stop on the city's southwest side around 7:30 p.m.

Engine 34 arrived and reported heavy working fire in the building that was occupied by a Denny's restaurant, shower area and a general store. All occupants escaped.

The additional alarms brought firefighters from Indianapolis, Decatur Twp., Wayne Twp., and Beech Grove.

The fire reportedly started outside the building.
