Photos: CA Crews Tackle Dwelling Fire

Santa Barbara County crews responded to the second working fire in three days in Orcutt on Jan. 22.

Calls came into dispatch center reporting a "chimney fire out of control" and additional callers reported fire from the rear and front door of the home.

Medic Engine 22 arrived to find a single-story residence with fire showing from the front door.

The crew stretched an attack line to the front door while the captain pulled a hoseline to the rear.

A total of four engines, one water tender, one breathing support, one battalion chief and investigators responded from Santa Barbara County as well as the truck company from Santa Maria City.
