Three Hurt in Douglasville, GA, Apartment Building Fire

June 13, 2024
"It was blowing through the roof on the second floor," Douglas County Fire Chie Miles Allen said.

“It was blowing though the roof on the second floor. It did travel pretty quick.”

Douglas County Fire Chief Miles Allen said that's what firefighters encountered at an apartment building Wednesday afternoon.

Two adults and one child had to be taken to the hospital with unknown injuries, the chief told ANF.

The building that contained 16 to 18 units, was quickly engulfed in flames, and it took firefighters more than three hours to put out all of the hot spots.

The cause remains under investigation.
