Los Angeles Firefighters Battle Fire in Boarded-up Building

Nearly 100 firefighters managed to contain the fire to the building of origin.

Nearly 100 firefighters from a dozen fire companies battled a boarded-up commercial building.

The fire was discovered about 6 a.m. in downtown Los Angeles. Crews initiated a defensive operation, KTLA reported.

Firefighters were able to control the fire to the building of origin.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
