Indianapolis Firefighters Tackled Wind-Driven Fire

April 15, 2025
Frantic residents told an Indianapolis 9-1-1 dispatcher the fire was intensifying.

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of an Indianapolis apartment building fire.

Two people were transported to a hospital for injuries suffered in the blaze Monday afternoon.

Heavy winds fanned the flames, fire officials told CBS Indy.

The incident commander quickly requested Greenwood Fire Department respond to assist with the fire.

A dozen apartments were involved. Four sustained heavy fire damage while the others suffered smoke, heat and water damage.
