Wildfire Rages West of St. George, Spreading Fast

A wildfire burning out of control in the Beaver Dam Mountains west of here more than tripled in size on Monday, destroying electrical poles and a radio repeater station for law enforcement, and forcing the closure of a 24-mile-long highway that runs south out of the Paiute Indian Reservation at Shivwits.
