The Fayetteville Fire Department responded to three separate residential structure fires within 27 minutes Thursday morning.

No injuries were reported, but two people were displaced, according to a news release.

The first fire was reported at 8:41 a.m. at Briar Circle in the Briarwood Apartments off Owen Drive. An investigation found a small fire in the closet of one of the units in the two-story dwelling, the Fire Department said.

The fire was accidental in nature, the release said, and no one was displaced.

At 9 a.m., the second fire was reported in Caskey's mobile home park on the 700 block of Vida Circle off McArthur Road. The first responders spotted smoke coming from the mobile home, and it was contained. Two occupants were displaced but will not need assistance from the American Red Cross, the department said.

The cause appears to have been an electrical malfunction, the release said.

The third fire was reported at 9:08 a.m. in Lafayette Village on the 5300 block of Cherry Lane, off Hemlock Drive. The initial arriving unit found smoke coming from the single-story family residence.

The fire was under the structure and is being investigated, the release said.

Damage estimates for the three residences were unknown.
