Los Angeles County Firefighter Injured in Large Warehouse Fire

A California firefighter was taken to the hospital with injuries sustained during a three-alarm Memorial Day fire.
Los Angeles County Fire Department crews responded at around 8:30 p.m. to a fire at a single-story commercial building in Huntington Park, KCAL-TV reports. When they reached the location, they encountered heavy flames and smoke coming from a burning warehouse.
At around 9 a.m., a third alarm was raised for the fire, and firefighters took a defensive approach, aerials to douse the warehouse from above. Crews were able to get the flames under control just after 11 p.m.
A firefighter was injured battling the fire, according to the department. The first responder was taken to the hospital, and the injuries were considered minor.
No one else was hurt in the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
