Two Maryland firefighters were injured during a fatal house fire late Sunday.
Prince George's County crews responded to a residential fire that broke out at about 10 p.m. in District Heights, WUSA-TV reports. Once at the scene, firefighters encountered heavy flames coming from the two-story house.
A man was discovered during a search of the home. Life-saving measures were performed by first responders, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two firefighters were injured while battling the flames. They were taken to the hospital, and they're injuries aren't considered life-threatening.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
