TX Firefighter's Home Burns While He's On Duty

Navasota firefighter David Kearney Jr. was on duty Wednesday morning when his River Plantation home caught fire and suffered significant damage.

A Texas firefighter was on duty this week when his home suffered significant damage in a fire.

KXXV News reports that Navasota Fire Department firefighter David Kearney Jr. was on shift Wednesday morning when his home in River Plantation near Conroe caught fire and suffered heavy damage.

Crews from Caney Creek Fire & Rescue, the Conroe Fire Department, and Needham Fire & Rescue/Montgomery County ESD #4 all responded to the blaze, according to KXXV.

"Please help this firefighter and his family out," Rachael Crivelli said on a GoFundMe page she organized to assist Kearney and his family. "Prayers going out (to) the Kearneys."
