Massive Fire Consumes New Orleans Apartments

Multiple families are left homeless after fire destroyed their apartment in the Algiers neighborhood of New Orleans.

Heavy fire ravaged a New Orleans apartment building on the 6100 block of Tullis Drive early Monday morning leaving 31 residents displaced.

Residents at the Cypress Run Apartments were forced to flee their building after a reported bedroom fire quickly spread, damaging all units in the structure according to FOX 8 WVUE-TV.

Firefighters arrived to find the heavy fire conditions breaking through the roof. 

The fire escalated to three-alarms.

One firefighter sustained a minor injury and at least 30 residents have been left homeless.
