Multiple Buildings Damaged in WA 3-Alarm Fire

A massive fire in downtown Olympia leveled a five-story building that was under construction and damaged surrounding buildings.

Dec. 15—Olympia firefighters responded to a large, downtown commercial fire early Wednesday morning.

The fire started around 5 a.m. at a five-story building under construction at 302 Capitol Way North near Percival Landing Park, according to the Olympia Fire Department and Thurston County Dispatch. Three other buildings nearby are also involved.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. More information will be released later, according to a OFD tweet.
