Firefighters in Scottsdale located a body after fire leveled a home near 124th Street and Shea Boulevard Tuesday.
Scottsdale firefighters arrived at a large home with heavy fire conditions, preventing crews from entering the structure.
Firefighters implemented a defensive operation, using handlines and an aerial tower as fire consumed the structure, according to Fox10 Phoenix.
Crews worked overnight to battle the fire and control flareups.
Fire officials told FOX 10 Phoenix that crews were unable to look inside the home until the fire was out. It was at that point that one body and several animals were found in the fire's aftermath.
