Saint Louis first responders and citizens rescued two adults and three children from the upper floors of a multi-story house fire on Tuesday afternoon.
Prior to the fire department arriving, police and citizens rescued one adult and one child from the home, according to Fox 2 Saint Louis.
When firefighters arrived they placed ground ladders and rescued one adult and two children from an upper floor of the home.
One of the police officers suffered from smoke inhalation and was transported for treatment.
The victims were taken to the hospital, with one of the adults being listed in serious condition. A police officer was also treated for smoke inhaltion.
