One person was killed in a small plane crash near the 210 Freeway in the Sylmar neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Los Angeles City firefighters arrived to find a small plane, severely damaged, on the down-sloping embankment of the freeway, according to the Los Angeles City Fire Department.
Firefighters began searching the wreckage for a patient while also building a berm to contain a small fuel leak.
One person was located in the debris and was determined to be dead at the scene. Firefighters searched the aircraft and area of the wreckage and found no other patients.
