May 11, 2022
Omaha firefighters battle flames in a vacant apartment building recently closed by city officials.

Firefighters in Omaha battled flames in an apartment building the city condemned in January due to unsafe fire conditions, displacing twelve families.

Firefighters were called to the vacant building around 5:30 a.m., when crews arrived smoke and fire was showing from the multi-story building built in 1918, KMTV 3 News reported.

Firefighters used multiple aerial ladders to fight the fire defensively due to the poor conditions of the building.
