MD House Fire Leaves Two Residents Dead

Frederick County fire marshals are investigating the cause of the deadly Adamstown fire.

A house fire in Adamstown early Sunday claimed the lives of two residents.

The victims were identified as Thomas Wiles, 74, and Joy Wiles, 75, according to a statement from the Frederick County Sheriff's Office.

Frederick County firefighters found fire showing from the two-story home on Stonewall Court in Adamstown shortly after 2 a.m.

They started searching for the victims as a Rapid Intervention Team was dispatched. 

One victim was found in a second-floor bedroom, while the other was located in an unknown area, Both were in cardiac arrest, fire officials said.

Another resident, located in a basement apartment, was not injured.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
