Woman Rescued, Revived from Fort Worth, TX, House Fire
An elderly woman was rescued by firefighters late Saturday night during a house fire on Fort Worth's southeast side.
Just before midnight, firefighters were dispatched to the 4200 block of Eastland Street where multiple 9-1-1 callers reported a house fire with entrapment.
According to the fire department, firefighters found heavy fire from the rear of the one-story home and began searching the structure while initiating a primary search.
Inside the home, firefighters found the woman on the floor in a bedroom and were able to carry her to safety.
Firefighters and MedStar crews began treating the woman, who was not breathing.
Fire officials said they administered a CYANOKIT on the victim and she began to breathe again on the scene. She was taken to the hospital where she was listed in critical condition.
A second occupant, who escaped the home on their own, was also treated and transported to the hospital.
Members of the Arson Investigation Unit were called to the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
