A Baltimore resident is dead following an intense house fire early Friday.
Firefighters saw smoke and fire coming from the two-story house about 4:15 a.m.
After the fire was controlled, crews found the body of a 63-year-old woman in the house where the blaze originated, Baltimore City fire officials reported on the department's Facebook page.
Three other houses were damaged.
There have been other recent fatal fires in the area.
In early December, a house fire in Catonsville left a person dead and another critically injured.
In November, a fire spread through multiple rowhomes in Baltimore's Greektown neighborhood, leaving a woman dead and several residents displaced.
