First Responder Center for Excellence and Advanced Problem Solving Announce Strategic Alliance
Crofton, MD, October 3, 2024—The First Responder Center for Excellence (FRCE) and Advanced Problem Solving (APS) are pleased to announce a strategic alliance to enhance first responder training. This collaboration will leverage the strengths of both organizations to provide online learning solutions for firefighters and other emergency personnel, expanding access to critical training resources.
FRCE Managing Director Frank Leeb emphasized the importance of this partnership, noting that it enables firefighters to access high-quality training regardless of location. "APS was the ideal partner for FRCE due to their flexibility, commitment, and winning mindset, which will help us achieve our goals," Leeb said. He added that this alliance comes at a crucial time for the FRCE, as they embark on a transformative collaboration with the University of Iowa and the University of Pittsburgh to develop and host a series of online mental health learning modules.
David Andrews, CEO of APS, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership. "Our five-year agreement provides long-term stability for FRCE’s growing online learning platform and ensures that we remain committed to the health and safety of the first responder community," Andrews said.
Together, the FRCE and APS will work to create new online learning modules, broadening training opportunities for firefighters and other first responders while ensuring they have access to the tools they need to stay healthy, safe, and resilient.
