Chula Vista firefighters responded Monday afternoon after a vehicle carrying a family of four went off of the Southbound SR 125 roadway and careened 100 feet down into a water catch basin, hitting a tree. One of the family members was killed, one was seriously hurt and the other two suffered minor injuries.
