A two-alarm fire destroyed Captain Pat’s Seafood restaurant in Lexington Park Friday morning.
Firefighters from Bay District, NAS Patuxent River and Valley Lee fire departments responded initially after a passer-by reported the fire.
Fifty firefighters responded to the fire and brought it under control in 35 minutes.
According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office, the cause of the fire is a mechanical malfunction in the boiler.
