WV Firefighters Rescued from Burning Structure

Crews from multiple departments responded to the fire in Boothsville, and they were able to rescue two firefighters who became trapped while battling the blaze.

Two West Virginia firefighters were rescued late Wednesday after they were trapped in a burning structure.

Crews from multiple departments responded to a fire that started just before 9:30 p.m. in Boothsville in Marion County, WBOY-TV reports. It's not clear how the firefighters became trapped while battling the blaze, and a helicopter rescue crew had been alerted.

Three people were taken to the hospital following the fire. It's not known if the firefighters were among those transported.

At around 3 a.m. Thursday, the fire had reignited into a fully involved working fire, WBOY added.
