An early morning fire destroyed a mill building in Taunton Saturday that required a police cadaver dog to search the remains for any possible bodies.
Crews were called to the Spring Lane building around 4 a.m. and fire officials said dozens of people fled from the building.
Taunton Fire Lt. Gregory Galivan told WPRI.com that they do not know how many people were inside the building, so they called for the state police K9 to assist with searching the debris.
Construction equipment was brought in to tear down sections of the building that were in danger of collapsing.
