The Lebanon County Coroner’s Office was called to a house fire in the city on Thursday morning, multiple reports said.

The fire started on the 200 block of Mifflin Street around 10:50 a.m., according to two fire departments that responded to the scene.

Several neighbors told WGAL and Fox43 that they saw smoke pouring out of the multi-family residence and were worried it would spread to nearby homes.

“We experienced some pretty heavy hoarding right inside the front door, so that’s when we made that urgent decision right away to fight this fire [from the outside],” Lebanon City Fire Chief Aaron Sweitzer told WGAL.

Fire crews were at the home for just under two hours, according to a Facebook post from the Neptune Fire Company.

One person was found dead inside the home, according to WGAL.

A Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal is investigating the fire, which did not spread to other homes, according to Fox43.
