Heavy wind fanned flames and smoke at a house fire in Nassau County just before dawn Thursday forcing firefighters to change tactics.
Hicksville firefighters said they were familiar with the home as blaze broke out there earlier this year.
The same resident, a man believed to be in his 60's, survived that fire. But this time, he was discovered dead in his bedroom, Eyewitness News reported.
The cause is under investigation.
