One Dead, One Critical in NY House Fire

Camillus, N.Y. — One person has died and another was critically injured in an early morning house fire in Camillus.

Camillus Police Chief Michael Schreyer said the two victims were both adults. The injured person was rushed to a hospital in critical condition, he said.

A neighbor called to report the fire in the home in the 200 block of Mansfield Drive, he said.

Firefighters and police responded to the fire call at 3:57 a.m., according to the Onondaga County 911 Center. The fire was between Richards Road and Welsh Drive.

The names of the victims were not being released at this time so family can be notified, Schreyer said.
